Where It All Began
The story of Jamhouse began with the shared vision of Shermona and Lawrence (LJeh), rooted in a deep commitment to ministry and community. Long before it became a physical or digital hub, the spirit of Jamhouse lived in Mommie’s Teahouse—a place of warmth, gathering, and spiritual nourishment.
This foundation of service expanded through JamOKC86 Radio, a platform that broadcasted the message of faith and provided a voice for Christ-centered creativity within Oklahoma City and beyond. These early mission-driven efforts were the seeds of what would eventually blossom into a comprehensive ecosystem for artists and believers.
As these ministries grew, the common thread of discipleship and creativity led to the formation of Jamhouse as the base. It evolved from localized expressions of faith into a centralized movement designed to discover, develop, and deploy the next generation of creative leaders for the Kingdom of God.
Today, Jamhouse has grown into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We remain steadfastly dedicated to serving artists, churches, and communities through Christ-centered creativity, ensuring that every gift is used to glorify Him and build a legacy of faith.
